Day 01: Arrival in Hyderabad
On your arrival in Hyderabad you will receive a traditional Indian hospitality from our staff representative. You will be accommodated in a pre-booked hotel duly matching all your requirements.
In the evening enjoy strolling around the nearby locations of the hotel. Afterwards enjoy a sumptuous South Indian feast and retire for the day at the hotel.
Day 02: Hyderabad
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel after which you will proceed ahead for orientation tour of the city. Highlights of the tour include:
- Falukuma Palace
- Salar Jung Museum
- Charminar
Afternoon post lunch you will visit Anandha Vihara, the majestic modern temple dedicated to Lord Buddha and opened by Dalai Lama himself. Also visit the Grand Monolith Statue of Lord Buddha on Budhha Purnima. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the hotel and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Hyderabad - Nagarjuna Sagar
Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel after which you will set forth to Nagarjuna Sagar which covers 150 kilometres from Hyderabad taking 3 hours. On your arrival in Nagarjuna Sagar, you will be accommodated in a desired hotel of your choice. In the afternoon enjoy a visit to the Anupu, the Amphi- Theatre, Viharas and Chaityas and other impressive Buddhist remains.
After your enchanting trip in Nagarjuna Sagar you will return back to the hotel. Enjoy a sumptuous South Indian feast and retire for the rest of the night at the hotel.
Day 04: Nagarjuna Sagar
Post breakfast you will enjoy a boat excursion during which you will visit the serene Nagarjuna Konda Island Museum. The place is famous for the outstanding Buddhist civilisation which dates back to the 3 rd century AD. The excavations are carefull preserved on a picturesque island called Nagarjuna Konda which is situated in the centre of a man- made lake.
Afterwards return to Ngarjuna Sagar and relax awhile. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 05: Nagarjuna Sagar - Guntur
On this fourth day of your Andhra Pradesh Tour you will set off for a drive to Guntur after breakfast. On the way you will bypass Amravati. Highlights in Amravati include Maha Stupa, Museum and the ancient Amralingeshwara Temple.
On your arrival in Guntur you will be accommodated in a desired hotel of your own choice. A sumptuous feast takes care of your appetite and afterwards you can retire to a sound sleep amidst the cosy room of the hotel.
Day 06: Guntur - Vijayawada
On this sixth day of your India Itinerary you will be driven to Vijayawada which covers 35 kilometres from Guntur taking 45 minutes. On the way you will stopover at Ghantasala, a tiny village which is famous for the remains of the stupa. The stupa has beautiful sculptures of Buddhist mythological stories and also a small but impressive museum Buddhist statues and art.
Later you will proceed ahead to Vijaywada. On your arrival in Vijayawada you will be allocated in a cosy hotel. Enjoy a sumptuous meal at the hotel and stay overnight at Vijayawada.
Day 07: Vijayawada
On this seventh day of your Andhra Pradesh Tour you will enjoy a full-fledged tour of Neelamkondapalli and Jagayapeta Stupas. Both the sites are filled with inscriptions from the Mauryan era and the beautiful Undavalli Caves.
Return back to hotel after the tour and relax awhile. Later enjoy a delicious dinner and retire for the rest of the night.
Day 08: Vijayawada - Vizag
Today after a leisurely breakfast you will bid farewell to Vijayawada for Vizag. On the way you will visit Guntupalli’s rock cut caves with over a dozen Stupas, Viharas and Chaityas. You will also notice an impressive six- foot marble statue of Lord Buddha.
On arrival in Vizag you will be allotted in a cosy hotel. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and retire for the rest of the night at the hotel.
Day 09: Vizag
After a delicious breakfast a full day sight seeing tour in Vizag city follows. You will visit Sankaram which is famous for its numerous rows of monolith Stupas with expressive images of Lord Buddha.
Post lunch you will enjoy a visit to Salihudam, an interesting Swastika shaped entrance with a 46 foot diameter stupa and Buddhist Platforms. The place is renowned to the world as it is from this place that Buddhism spread to far eastern countries.
After your trip return back to hotel and enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Later retire for the rest of the night at the hotel.
Day 10: Vizag
On this tenth day of your Andhra Pradesh Tour Itinerary you will enjoy a full-d ay excursion to Bavikonda. Bavikonda is an ancient of Buddhist sites. The excavations on the hill top brought to light an extensive Buddhist establishment consisting of a MahaChaitya, Stupas, Chaitya grihas, a congregation hall, Relic caskets, Tiles, Moulded bricks, Coins.
Later visit the Thotla Konda for Vihara and Stupas which dates back to the 3rd century AD. In the afternoon after lunch visit the Pavuralakonda which is famous for the monastic remains and the 14 rock cistems used by Monks for rainwater collecting.
After your fabulous trip in Vizag return back to hotel and relax awhile. Enjoy a sumptuous feast and retire for the night at the hotel.
Day 11: Vizag - Hyderabad
Your Best of Andhra Pradesh Tour comes to an end today. In the morning post breakfast you will be driven to Vizag airport for your flight to Hyderabad. On arrival in Hyderabad you will be relocated to a hotel for a short fresh up. Later you will be transferred to the airport for your onward destination.
